cap braided jeans upcycle
Cap braided jeans recycle is a true upcycle product made from post consumer jeans that are washed, dried and dissected. The sideband is braided before assimilating the model. It comes without lining, keeping it cooler to the wear, but also because I don’t want to add new material except of course the head-size brace which is a new petersham ribbon from cotton. Mostly the head-size brace comes in black, but sometimes the braided part of the cap invites me to another color. The inside of the crown is lined with pieces of 'cut-offs' lining in the color blue. The stiff visor is approximately 7.5cm long.
The cap braided jeans recycle is a low model, which takes the form of the head after time. If you prefer a more square look you could wear it higher on the head, probably needing a smaller size.
The cap braided can be hand washed in lukewarm water in a bassin, dried with a towel, after which you mold it back to shape and let it dry. Iron if needed. If you feel this out of reach, you can always use my cleaning service.
PLEASE NOTE, The picture is an example of how these caps look, but as all post consumer jeans are different in color and wear, the cap you order could be different. I have divided the jeans in categories being, light blue, medium blue, dark blue, the one on the picture being medium blue, defined by the color of the visor.

Other sizes in centimeters are anything between 54cm en 64cm. In general these are custom made sizes often used for personal designs or unique pieces.
To be able to chose the right size it is important to be accurate when measuring your head, ideally you let somebody else do it.
Go to work as follows:
With the help of a soft centimeter, measure around the head, starting at the front approximately 1cm above the eyebrows towards, approximately 1cm above, the ears and over the biggest part of the back of your head( that little bump on the back of your head). Please see picture to give you an idea.

Once measured you can read in the tab sizes which size you need to choose. Choose the size closest to your measured size.
